This is Cowgirl at 4 years old. This is also shortly after her 2007 litter with Mick.

3 days after the show Fort bend show ( 11/16/2004) I was in a pretty good accident. I was 6 months pregnant with my son James at the time. It was a no fault accident, Shimmer and Lilly were in the Van with me. Both were fine but I suffered a broken Jaw. ( think twice about resting your drink on the steering wheel. . . ) After this I did not Show until July at the Houston Reliant show. I took both Cowgirl and Mick to the show ( and Shimmer). At this point I had been fighting to keep Cowgirls tail from becoming a bloody mess due to "happy tail" this is a problem some danes can have from literally being too happy. They thump their tail so much that it splits open and with every wag causes more problems. She busted it open at this show and we decided that we would have to call it quits with showing her. Mick was a young man then and we had been fighting to make his ears stand. . .though they did they were never quite right.

Description of Mantle color pattern:
Mantle - The color shall be black and white with a solid black blanket extending over the body; black skull with white muzzle; white blaze is optional; whole white collar preferred; a white chest; white on part or whole of forelegs and hind legs; white tipped black tail. A small white marking in the black blanket is acceptable, as is a break in the white collar.

This really is playing, it looks vicious, but they are just having fun.

This is Cowgirl tormenting my then 14 year old Pembroke welsh corgi Chelsea.

This is about three seconds before Chelsea tells Cowgirl to back off!

Off to explore! Most of my yard turns to mud during the winter, dirt and mud during the hot summer. Cowgirl loves to help me garden ( even when I don't want any help!)

I will just EAT mom's pretty purple flowers instead!

Or maybe just dig a new hole!

CowGirl got her name from the LONG HORN on her BUTT!

Forget playing, I want MY AIR CONDITIONER! This goes to show that danes are not out door dogs!
We were only out in the yard for about 20 minutes.

She sure know how to get dirty! This is mud and dirt in her coat. If you look at the ear rolls you will also see dirt from Mel helping her take the cross piece off!
